THERMAL DRONE SERVICES

Preventative Maintenance using drones

From heat loss to equipment failure, the thermal drone services from SV Aerial & Consulting can help you save money and time, whether you’re a contractor, university/school, or business owner. Rather than deal with the headaches (and bills) of unexpected emergency repairs, a thermal drone inspection is a proactive way to build a budget and schedule maintenance for when certain tasks should be addressed.

Thermal Drone Inspections for Asset Management

Asset management via thermal drone inspections can monitor a building’s energy loss through its roof, windows, and doors.

Why Use Thermal Drone Services?

SV Aerial & Consulting can provide a thermal drone inspection before the bidding process for clients or contractors. Data is key to a responsible bid for a contractor and cheaper in the long run for clients—a main reason why our drone data collection is a win-win. Using our thermal drone services, clients should be able to reduce the number of potential change orders.

LOCATE Energy Loss via Thermal Imaging

Thermal imaging measures the reflectivity of an object not visible to the naked eye. Our drone thermal cameras can show heat loss from windows, doors, and roofs, locate water leaks in the roof, and identify areas of poor insulation.

Identify Equipment Failure via Thermal Imaging

SV Aerial & Consulting can use thermal imaging to identify various types of equipment failure, including broken HVAC components and duct work, electrical motors overheating, bearings getting too hot, and heat entering or escaping.

Drone Thermal Camera DJI

The drone experts at SV Aerial & Consulting employ the DJI Zenmuse H20T camera—one of the highest resolution thermal cameras in the industry—in order to provide the most accurate radiometric data possible. This means every pixel of our drone photography has a temperature attached to it. We can process these pictures to get specific temperatures and/or make them into a 3D model for measurements of problem areas that may be experiencing greater levels of heat or cold.

Learn More About Thermal Drone Inspections

Whether you’re a concerned building owner or a contractor that’s interested in making more accurate bids, the experts at SV Aerial & Consulting can help. In fact, we’ve published a case study from our thermal drone inspection of the Bailey Park Elementary School in Grinnell, Iowa, to help illustrate how this process works.
