How to use a drone for home inspections.

Increase your HOME’s Efficiency With a Drone Inspection

Although UAVs can be used in many different aspects of a home inspection, for this blog, our drone experts employed a forward-looking infrared (FLIR) camera to detect and measure heat loss in a house to help it become more energy efficient.

We used a drone to find how much heat loss this home had through its roof.

Drones can make almost every step of the home inspection process more efficient and more effective.

A drone can perform a roof inspection more efficiently and more accurately than an inspection with a ladder. In less than 90 seconds, this drone gathered the data needed to measure and analyze the health and safety of the roof of this home. Forward-Looking Infrared (FLIR) Camera

One way we use drones in the home inspection process is measuring heat loss. The walls, windows, and roof are all common areas where a house or building can lose heat.

In this fly-through video, we use forward-looking infrared (FLIR) imagery to show the heat loss in this home's roof.

Our FLIR camera can see heat energy, also known as infrared waves, and is a vital component of our thermal drone services. This same FLIR technology can be used to measure other issues you may have with a home or building's exterior, including roof and walls. We use our findings to create a custom home inspection report.

We use FLIR camera's to inspect residential and commercial properties. Our cameras can capture nearly anything so we can measure, analyze, and even pinpoint a specific location.
